Aland Islands-based gaming company Paf has acquired two Swedish licensed gaming brands, Speedy Ltd and Speedy Originals, from Hero Gaming.
Both brands run Speedy Casino, Speedy Bet and Speedy Spel.
Christer Fahlstedt, CEO of Paf, said: “We want to grow in Sweden and we have a strong ambition to become a leader in the Swedish licensing market.
The game operator will introduce a universal loss limit of €20,000 ($23,750) per year on the new site. The branding of the site remains the same.
“We are not interested in taking over a gaming site unless our customers are at the level of gaming we accept. But, of course, customers will find that they take the same level of responsible gaming as Paf’s other gaming sites very seriously,” explains Fahlstedt.
The deal positions Paf as one of the six largest gaming operators in Sweden, a position the group has deliberately pursued.
Fahlstedt said: “This acquisition demonstrates that we have faith in the future of the Swedish market and also have the ability to acquire companies that strengthen us.”
Hero Gaming CEO Tomas Bäckman said the deal is a great opportunity for Paf to grow in the global market.
“It feels good to be Paf who took over our Swedish business, he has a long-term strategy and is known for his responsible gaming work,” he said.
Founded in 2013, Hero Gaming also operates a Speedy branded gaming site in the Swedish market.
