The National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) hosts the National Gaming Conference to advance the lottery business in Nigeria.
According to a statement from NLRC Secretary General Lanre Gbajabiamila, all major stakeholders of the domestic lottery business were invited to the meeting.
It’s taking place today at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Victoria Island, Lagos, and we hope to make a concrete contribution to the development of the lottery in Nigeria.
The meeting will include key figures such as Senator George Akume, Minister of Special Affairs and Intergovernmental Affairs, Senator, Yahaya Maikori, founder of Law Alliance, and Senator Obinna Ogba, Chairman of the Senate Intergovernmental Affairs Committee.
Hon also provides their point of view. Akin Alabi, Chairman of the House Sports Committee, and Alhaji Abdulfatai, Chairman of the Ibikunle Committee’s Board of Directors.
Issues under consideration include understanding the financial regulatory obligations of game operators, protecting responsible games and players, developing local technologies for the gaming industry, and legislative reform for the gaming industry in the 21st century.
The two-day meeting is the first in domestic lottery history with event sponsors including Premier Lotto and Bet Bonanza.
